About Us

David Rosen trained in gynaecology at King George the Fifth Hospital in Camperdown, Sydney, followed by a fellowship in Gynaecological Laparoscopic Surgery at the Sydney Women's Endosurgery Centre at St George Hospital. After completing his training in Australia he took up a Fellowship with Professor C.J. Sutton at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford, UK and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London. On his return to Australia in 1999 he became a Director of the Sydney Women's Endosurgery Centre and was appointed as a Visiting Medical officer to St George Hospital. Soon after he was appointed as a VMO at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick. He currently has regular consultation and operating sessions at St George Private Hospital, St Lukes Private Hospital Potts Point, Macquarie Univesrity Hospital, North Ryde as well as running a public outpartient service and operating list at both the RHW and St George Public Hospital. The appointment at Macquarie University Hospital is part of Australia's first Robotic Unit in benign gynaecology.

  • Founding member of "The Hummers" in which I play Rhythm Guitar (very badly) and sing (even worse) - -

  • Former A-Grade Basketball player now very retired. Current exercise pursuits gym, swim, cycle and hobbling (also known as jogging except when I do it)

  • 2002 - : Member and mad supporter of Sydney Swans
  • 2005: Completed Kokoda track with friend and colleague Dr James Opperman (a Hurstville obstetrician)
  • 2014-15: Coach of number one sons Basketball team (for my sins)
